• December 20, 2011
  DIS Student Representative Council, as part of its environmental initiatives, arranged the presentation with the view to giving middle and high school students more exposure to the impact of plastics and the need to Reduce, Re-use, and Recycle waste in general and plastic bottles in particular, given that the U.A.E. ranks 3rd highest in the world in its per-capita consumption of bottled water. Bassem’s presentation also emphasized the need to find alternative methods for delivering drinking water with the aim of protecting the environment and conserving precious natural resources like oil and water.   At this year’s Pre‐Owned Boat Show held at the Dubai Creek Marina from November 17th to 19th, DEWS introduced its line of PHSI bottle‐free drinking water dispensers and displayed a compact counter‐top unit suitable for use on luxury boats and yachts, alongside its BlueCube watermaker.
